When I was at drama school I wanted nothing more than to learn how to truly “become someone else” and jump into someone else’s shoes for real!
One day I asked a teacher if she could help me understand how to work on my emotions to achieve this and how I could learn to laugh and cry for real when the character was laughing or crying. Her reply left me shocked and demoralised: she half-judgementally told me that it was not my job to feel, and that I just needed to make sure that the audience was experiencing those emotions. Her painfully underwhelming solution was that I could pretend, and maybe hide my face in my hands when I was supposed to cry and learn how to use my diaphragm to laugh…
I knew there was more to acting! I knew the incredible performances that had made me fall in love with this beautiful craft were so much more than pretentious acts, I knew they were truthful! AND I WANTED IT!
So, I moved to London, worked with an amazing teacher and really learnt how to “behave truthfully under imaginary circumstances”, studying the Meisner Technique and my teacher’s developments of it.
This changed my approach to acting and my whole life!
And now, after teaching students face to face here in London for 6 years, I decided to create my first Online Course to share with as many passionate actors as possible all the knowledge I gathered and All You Need to deliver Compelling and TRUTHFUL performances.

Martina Avogadri is an actor, acting coach and producer, based in London.
She has been coaching established and aspiring actors since 2018, at the Beck Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
As an actress Martina has worked both in Italy and in the UK for several independent productions, as well as big companies such as Netflix and has recently taken part in feature film ‘Lift’, produced by Kevin Hart and distributed by Netflix and she is currently on set filming for two upcoming horror titles.
Alongside business partner Fay Beck, she founded Aberrant Gene Films, a film production company focusing on bold films that push boundaries, exploring the depths of often controversial subjects through genre.
Alongside her acting training, Martina undertook Philosophy studies at the University of Milan and completed a degree in Aesthetics. Her Philosophy background has a great influence in her coaching and in her artistic work.
