WHY THESE CLASSES
Not a generic drama workshop
These sessions offer a direct experience of professional actor training – the same approach that shapes our longer training programmes, without the long-term commitment.

01
Structured, not generic
Not simple drama games. Each class is an immersive, structured exploration of the actor’s instrument — body, voice, and the emotional system that generates real behaviour on stage and screen.
02
Small classes, real feedback
Not simple drama games. Each class is an immersive, structured exploration of the actor’s instrument — body, voice, and the emotional system that generates real behaviour on stage and screen.
03
A real, named method
Every session draws on BEAT™ — the Beck Emotional Access Technique® — combined with Meisner-based work. Not a hybrid of received techniques.

QUESTIONS
Frequently ASked
What is a drop-in class?
A drop-in acting class is a single, 2.5-hour session you can book on its own, with no enrollment or long-term commitment. It’s built on BEAT™ and covers emotional access, presence, and scene work in one focused session.
Do I need to book a full course to attend?
No. Classes are pay-as-you-go – book a single session whenever you like, with no requirement to enroll in a longer program.
Are these classes suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Our drop-in classes welcome complete beginners exploring acting for the first time, as well as working professionals maintaining their craft between projects.
How much does a drop-in class cost?
Classes are pay-as-you-go, booked per session. Current pricing and the next available class date are shown on the booking page.
Where do the classes take place?
At Beck Academy of Dramatic Art’s studios in Hackney Wick, London.
Should I bring my own material to these classes? Should I send the material in to the teacher before the class?
These classes are built around you, so yes, you can bring your own material to work on.
What if I don't have material to work on?
Don’t worry. The coach will always have a number of scripts on hand to work on.
Can I use the class as a trial for a course I would like to join?
Of course. And many actors choose to take one or more drop-in classes before they decide to join courses at BADA.
