WHO WE ARE

BADA is a contemporary part-time drama school in London. Our programmes are designed for actors who want rigorous training inside a structure that fits real life, so classes run in the evenings and your days stay free.We train the whole performer: body, voice and emotion working together as one instrument. We don’t teach tips and camera tricks. We are here to help you act truthfully, and to find instinct, presence and emotional depth you can repeat on demand.Every course sits on the same foundation, whether you join for a drop-in class, a two-year programme or one-to-one coaching.

Our Method: Beck Emotional Access Technique®

Teaching methods at our Part-Time Drama School

Beck Emotional Access Technique® (BEAT™) is a UK-registered acting methodology created by Fay Beck. It is grounded in neuroscience and psychology, and it teaches actors to access emotion consciously and safely, without digging into personal trauma.

Where many methods ask you to recall past pain, BEAT™ trains you to build and connect with the emotional world of the character in the present moment. The result is work that feels lived rather than performed.

Fay’s early training was in the Meisner Technique, which she studied under Billy Milionis, a direct student of Sanford Meisner. BEAT™ is her own framework, developed through years of teaching and ongoing postgraduate research.

The same method now underpins BADA Corporate, our leadership and communication training for teams and executives.
