Description

Study Units in Acting Technique, Screen Acting, Scene Study and Voice & Movement:

 

From the 2025-2026 academic year, Beck Academy of Dramatic Art will offer students the opportunity to attend classes in Meisner Acting TechniqueBEAT Scene StudyScreen Acting and Voice and Movement as individual Study Units.

You only need to commit to the classes on a term by term basis. (There are 3 x 12 week terms in the academic year). You can choose to pay upfront for each term or via easy weekly or monthly installments.

Study units are split over 2 Levels, Level 1 and Level 2. For each study unit, you have to complete all of the Level 1 terms before you can go onto Level 2.

Once students complete Level 1 units, they can move onto Level 2 Study units.

Session Times

We understand that students may have other obligations such as full time work. As a result, we the course to run in the evenings freeing up students to work during the day and on the weekends.

Classes run in the evenings.

There are a total of 36 teaching weeks per academic year, split over 3 terms (12 weeks per term).

Level 1:
Acting Technique 1: £420 per term
Scene Study 1: £420 per term
Screen Acting 1: £420 per term
Voice & Movement 1: £420 per term
Level 1 Showcase: £520

Acting Technique 2: £420 per term
Scene Study 2: £420 per term
Screen Acting 2: £420 per term
Voice & Movement 2: £420 per term
Agent Theatre Showcase: £720
Agent Cinema Showcase: £720

Non-Native English Speakers

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply to our courses. Students must however be fluent in English. Non-native English speakers are encouraged to take additional classes in RP. The Studio runs one-on-one online coaching sessions that can be booked individually by non-native English speakers.

Payments

NOTE: fees for Showcases are payable upfront only.

We are committed to helping actors who may not be in a financial position to pay upfront for each term. As a result, we are able to offer students the ability to pay on a monthly installment basis.

Applications

There are 2 ways to apply to THE FLEXIBLE STUDY COURSE:

1. Apply to the Drama Course, by completing an Online Application Form. Along with your application you are required to submit a short video.

2. On the basis of your submission material, you may be invited to send a self-tape.

3. You will be informed of the outcome of your application within a few weeks.

4. Once you are accepted into the program, you will need to send a £140 non-refundable deposit for each class you are taking to confirm your spot. (The deposit counts towards your fees for the term).

Please note: If all places in the course are filled early in the year, subsequent Application Rounds may not be opened.
