Excellence in acting training

At BADA, Martina holds the position of Senior Teacher and Assistant Studio Director. In this role, she is responsible for the delivery of acting training within the studio, assessing student progress and development, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of the curriculum.

Martina originally trained as an actress at the prestigious Paolo Grassi Drama School in Milan, graduating in 2012. Alongside her actor training, she pursued academic studies in philosophy at the University of Milan, completing a degree in aesthetics—the philosophy of art. This dual background continues to inform her analytical and practice-based approach to acting and teaching.

After several years working as an actress in Italy, Martina relocated to London in 2016, driven by the desire to deepen and expand her artistic practice. That search found its focus when she joined Fay Beck’s acting studio, where, working closely under the guidance of Artistic Director Fay Beck, she was able to redefine her approach to character and the way it should be taught. The synergy between Martina and the studio quickly became apparent, allowing her to grow into a central role within the teaching team.

Martina’s philosophical training gives her a distinctive vantage point as a teacher. Her ability to analyse text, character, and human behaviour enables her to guide actors with clarity and precision, while remaining grounded in instinct, emotional truth, and embodied practice. This work is further deepened by her current specialisation in Script Development at the National Film and Television School (NFTS), which continues to inform her approach to text, structure, and storytelling.

As an actress, Martina has worked extensively in both Italy and the UK across independent productions and major studios, including Netflix. Her screen credits include the feature film Lift, alongside Jean Reno and Kevin Hart, and the television series The Diplomat (Season 2), with further work spanning Film4, Studiocanal, and a range of independent films. Working on sets of this scale has provided her with first-hand insight into professional standards, presence, confidence, and on-set dynamics—knowledge she brings directly into her coaching.

Alongside her acting and teaching work, Martina develops and produces film projects through Aberrant Gene Films, a production company she co-owns with Fay Beck. Her work as a filmmaker further grounds her teaching in contemporary industry practice and meaningful storytelling.

Martina has coached hundreds of actors in both craft and mindset.
Her teaching focuses on script analysis, audition technique, stage and screen acting, character and relationship work, and emotional preparation, supporting actors in developing a rigorous, resilient, and truthful approach to their work.
