Sam is Movement teacher.

Biography

Excellence in movement training

As a movement director, Sam has collaborated with comedians including Jack Whitehall, Jordan Brookes, Charlotte Ritchie and Liam Williams, devising movement for NETFLIX, the Hammersmith Apollo and the O2 Arena. His work has been described as ‘intensely funny’ (the Guardian), ‘fearless’ (the List), and ‘innovative’ (The Prickle).

He is Co-Artistic Director of award-winning international physical theatre company Voloz Collective, whose work has been toured in the UK, Europe and off-Broadway.

He also directs for the New Renaissance Collective, a company that stages highly-physical adaptations of classical texts and opera in site-specific locations.

As an associate director, Sam has worked on musical theatre productions in the West End and internationally – including Broken Wings (Theatre Royal Haymarket; Dubai Opera House; Katara Opera House), Umm Kulthum & the Golden Era (London Palladium) and The Adventures of Pinocchio (Ambassadors Theatre).

Sam has delivered workshops in physicality, character and improvisation for the Royal Northern College of Music and Associated Studios.

 
He trained at l’École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq and Cambridge University.
