The Showreel Course That Gets You Noticed
8 weeks. Custom Showreel scenes written for your type. 4K filming. Coached by Fay Beck.
Your showreel is the first thing an agent or casting director sees. It either opens the door or closes it before you’ve said a word. Most showreel services give you a glossy action reel that has nothing to do with how you’ll actually be cast. This course does the opposite.
Every scene is written specifically for your casting type. Every performance is coached by Fay Beck before you step in front of the camera. You leave with a reel that is truthful, specific, and built to work — not to impress you for a day.

Why This Actor Showreel Course Is Different
London has no shortage of showreel services. Most of them give you the same thing: a shoot day, a script someone else wrote, and a cut that looks slick but says nothing specific about you as an actor. Agents have seen thousands of these. They can spot them in seconds.
This course starts from a different premise. The scenes are written for you — after we have identified your casting type together. The performance is coached over multiple sessions before filming, so that what ends up on camera is refined, specific, and true. The 4K footage and professional edit are the last step, not the whole point.
| Most showreel services What you usually get | This course What BADA delivers |
|---|---|
| Generic scripts not written for your type | Custom scenes written specifically for your casting type |
| No coaching — you perform the day you arrive | Multiple coached rehearsal sessions before you film |
| No dedicated director unless purchased at premium price | Award winning director & producer team as a standard service |
| Action-style reels that impress for a day | Performance-first reels that agents actually respond to |
| One-size-fits-all packages | Three tiers — Core, Pro, Pro+ — matched to your career stage |
| Shoot and forget | Agent outreach support included at Pro+ level |

Looking for a Spotlight Accredited Course?
This course earns you 20 Spotlight points. Spotlight is the professional directory used by every casting director and agent in the UK — without a Spotlight profile, you are invisible to most of the industry. 180 points are required in total to gain access; additional BADA courses count toward this.
If you are an emerging actor who does not yet have a Spotlight profile, this course is one of the most efficient ways to begin accumulating the points you need.

Who will Teach You

Fay Beck
Founder and Artistic Director of Beck Academy of Dramatic Art. Creator of Beck Emotional Access Technique® (BEAT™) — the UK’s only registered neuroscience-grounded acting methodology. Award-winning filmmaker, writer, director, and producer. Her film I XXXX My Sex Doll — starring Martina Avogadri — screened at Cinequest Film Festival (an Oscar-qualifying festival), screened internationally, and won Best Horror at the Crystal Palace Film Festival. Further films produced and directed by Fay and featuring Martina have screened at international festivals. Currently undertaking a Masters in Neuroscience researching the precise connections between emotion, behaviour, identity, personality, and character.
Fay coaches every scene in this course personally — from the initial casting type assessment through every rehearsal session to the shoot day itself. On shoot day she is on set directing your scene, which means everything built in rehearsal is captured on camera rather than lost under the pressure of a new director. Her actors don’t just look good on camera. They understand exactly why their performance works, and how to repeat it.
Featured in Backstage’s Guide to the Best Acting Coaches in London.

Martina Avogadri
A working film actress, producer, and senior teacher at BADA. Her screen credits include Netflix’s Lift (alongside Jean Reno and Kevin Hart) and The Diplomat (Season 2), alongside productions for Film4 and Studiocanal. She also stars in I XXXX My Sex Doll — produced and directed by Fay Beck — which has surpassed one million views on YouTube, screened at the Oscar-qualifying Cinequest Film Festival, screened internationally, and won Best Horror at the Crystal Palace Film Festival. Trained at the Paolo Grassi Drama School in Milan. Degree in Aesthetics, University of Milan.
Martina and Fay have worked together as actress and director across multiple film projects that have screened internationally. On shoot day for this course, that creative partnership is at work on your scene — the same director-actress relationship that produced internationally screened work is now focused entirely on getting the best possible performance from you on camera.
Who is the Showreel Course For
This course is not for actors who want a glossy reel to show their friends. It is for actors who are serious about getting seen, getting signed, and getting work.
- You have a reel that doesn’t represent you — it’s generic, action-heavy, or was filmed before you had proper coaching
- You don’t have a reel at all and you’re ready to do this properly, once, with a methodology behind it
- You’re a recent graduate preparing to approach agents and you need material that shows craft, not just a face
- You’re an international actor breaking into the UK market who needs UK-standard showreel material
- You’re a working actor who wants to refresh your reel or add a specific character type to your range

Showreel Course FAQ’s
What is included in the showreel course?
The course runs for 8 weeks and includes: a casting type assessment, custom-written scenes matched to your specific type, multiple coached rehearsal sessions with Fay Beck, a professional 4K shoot day with a full crew, and an edited delivery with two rounds of revisions. Pro and Pro+ tiers include additional coached sessions per week, access to agent and casting director talks, and — at Pro+ level — a one-to-one brand audit, personalised pitch writing support, and direct agent outreach and introductions on your behalf.
How much does the showreel course cost?
The Core tier is £1,200 (partner price £940 when booking with a friend). The Pro tier is £1,800 (partner price £1,440). The Pro+ tier is £2,400 (partner price £1,920). Instalment plans are available for all tiers — spread across three monthly payments. The next cohort runs 28 April to 20 June 2026 at BADA’s studio in Hackney Wick, London.
What is the difference between Core, Pro, and Pro+?
Core gives you one coached session per week, two custom scenes, a 4K shoot, and a professional edit. Pro adds a second weekly session covering advanced screen acting technique and access to agent and casting director talks. Pro+ includes everything in Pro plus a private casting audit with Fay Beck, personalised pitch writing support, and direct agent outreach — we submit your reel to select agents suited to your type and introduce you personally. Pro+ is offered by invitation following a review of your CV and current marketing materials.
Who writes the scenes for my showreel?
All scenes are written specifically for you by the BADA team, based on your casting type — identified through the casting type discovery sessions in the first three weeks of the course. You do not need to source or prepare material before the course begins. The scenes are written to showcase your specific strengths, casting range, and on-screen type — not generic material that could have been written for anyone.
Is this course suitable for emerging actors?
Yes — the course is open to actors at all levels. The material and coaching are tailored to each participant’s current level and development needs. That said, this is a performance-focused course with a genuine shoot day and professional crew: actors who commit to the rehearsal process will get the most from it. Emerging actors who are serious about their craft are welcome; actors who want a quick reel without the training may find the course’s emphasis on coached preparation is not what they were looking for.
Does this course count toward Spotlight accreditation?
Yes — this 8-week course earns you 20 Spotlight points. Spotlight is the professional directory used by every casting director and agent in the UK, and 180 points are required to gain access. Additional BADA courses count toward this total — so the showreel course can form part of a broader pathway toward your full Spotlight profile. If you are a graduate without Spotlight accreditation, this is one of the most practical and useful ways to begin accumulating the points you need.
What happens after the course — can BADA help me approach agents?
At Pro+ level, BADA provides direct agent outreach and introductions — we submit your showreel to select agents matched to your type and introduce you personally. For Core and Pro students, the post-course strategy is your own, though the course includes industry talks and positioning sessions designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to approach agents yourself. One-to-one coaching with Fay Beck or Martina Avogadri is available to all graduates as a follow-up if you want continued support.
